The Happiest Place On Earth
Over this spring break, I went to Florida for the first time ever! During this vacation, we spent two days at the happiest place on Earth, Disney World, which was by far the highlight of the whole trip. I went with my two best friends and we decided to dedicate one park to each day. On the first day we went to Magic Kingdom and on the second day we went to Hollywood Studios. I was amazed at how much there was for us to do between the rides, food, attractions and shows and even though we couldn't get to everything, we still accomplished the bulk of what those parks had to offer.
My favorite parts of Magic Kingdom were riding on Tron, seeing the parade of some of my favorite characters, the Pirates of the Carribbean ride, eating dole whip and seeing the firework show. As someone who's never seen the movie Tron, the queue for the ride was so immersive and made the wait go by faster because I was so excited to get on. I've never been on a ride that makes you sit like you're on a bike, so that was pretty cool. The character parade was so fun to watch and the floats for each movie/character were super elaborate, like Tangled's ship float. There was honestly so much going on that it was hard to focus on one thing at a time, but I loved every second. I wasn't as big of a fan of the boat rides mainly because I'm a thrill junkie and love roller coasters, but the Pirates of the Carribbean boat ride was genuinely so much fun. The animatronics were so intricately made and moved very smoothly. Each display kept my attention and even had voice lines and water splashing to add to the experience.
I also had some really good food during this trip, but my favorite was definitely the "I Lava You" dole whip float. It had orange creamsicle dole whip, with strawberry Fanta, raspberry syrup and pop rocks on top and was absolutely delicious. Lastly, the glorious firework show that displayed some of the most iconic Disney movies ever made. It was such a nostalgic and lighthearted experience and a few tears may or may not have been shed. Magic Kingdom definitely lived up to its name on that first day.
The highlights of day two at Hollywood Studios were definitely riding Tower of Terror, watching the Indiana Jones stunt show, riding Ride of The Resistance, getting a hug from Chewbacca and watching the Fantasmic show. I think my favorite ride during this whole trip is Tower of Terror. It was so fun and I think I could go on it over and over again. My friend, Maggie also made it hilarious because she was freaking out of the ride. One thing I didn;t expect to see was the stunt show. They made it feel like a real movie set where the set pieces move and they choreograph the action and fighting scenes. There were also super cool effects like fire and the iconic boulder scene from the movie that added so much to it. The Star Wars Ride of the Resistance was actually insane. We waited two hours in line, but it was completely worth it. The entire experience was about twenty minutes long and there were numerous rooms like a shuttle ride at the beginning, an area where the workers/actors made us line up, and an action packed chase scene. It wasn't a roller coaster, but it was thrilling in the same way and was 100% my favorite part of the day. I also got a surprise hug from Chewbacca and a nice picture with him and my friends. And last, but not least, there was the Mickey Mouse Fantasmic show on the water. It was so amazing and filled with effects and cool projections of Disney movies. I think it was better than the firework show the night before and it was a great way to end this incredible trip.
While I am sad that it's over, I am so glad I got to experience Disney World for the first time ever with my best friends. I genuinely don't think I've ever been happier than when we were at Disney. I feel like my inner child was healed from this trip. This will absolutely not be the last time I go to Disney World, especially since How To Train Your Dragon world is coming out soon!
The last photo is so real. Disneyland is truly so magical. I went when I was just a young child, so I don't remember much. It sounds like you had a great time though and hearing about your experience makes me want to take a trip there. I'm so glad you had such an exhilarating time at Disney!
