Goodbye, For Now

Well, ladies and gentlemen, we’ve reached the end of the road.

As the semester comes to a close, it’s time for me to publish my final blog post. However, this doesn’t have to mark the end of my blogging journey. I’m saying goodbye for now only because, at some point in life, I may want to return here and share more of my thoughts with you. There’s always a possibility, and I don’t want to say this is the end forever because it might not be.

When I started, I didn’t think I’d get much out of blogging. I thought, “Oh, it’s just another assignment,” and figured it wouldn’t mean much to me. But to my surprise, the opposite happened. What began as simply going through the motions became a meaningful outlet that allowed me to express things I don’t usually get to talk about.

The reason I called this blog Many Mumblings is because it was meant to be a space for me to share my inner thoughts. The kind of things you don’t expect anyone else to hear, hence mumblings. At first, I didn’t fully understand that concept, but now, having completed the class, I connect with it more deeply. A large part of me will miss coming up with life experiences to share on this blog.

It’s therapeutic to put your thoughts onto a page, whether it’s a weekly recap, a major event or just a random topic that sparks your interest. I think I had a good balance of each of those things and based on the comments under some of my posts, they held some sort of value to those who read them. I think that's what felt the most meaningful to me, when someone would comment and relate in some way or just found enjoyment in what I talked about. Even when no one commented, I still enjoyed publishing because it felt good to write about the things I care about.

All things considered, I discovered that I actually enjoy blogging. It became less about completing an assignment and more about feeling proud of what I created. This is something I’d definitely return to—but maybe not right away. Taking a break will give me more to say if and when I come back.
