Easter Break, Here I Come

We are officially two days away from Easter Break! Technically only one day because I'm leaving after work on Thursday, but we're almost there. It's hard to believe that once we're back from break there will only be three weeks left of school before finals week. But, that is the furthest thing from my mind right now because I'm so excited to go home and see my family! All three of my sisters will be home this weekend plus my niece and nephew, so it'll be a full house, which I prefer. Family can be a lot sometimes and I'm sure they'll drive me crazy in the three short days I'll be home, but I love when we're all able to get together. When you're the youngest child, you don't cherish those moments when all of your siblings still live with you and when they move out it gets so lonely. It feels even more lonely now that I'm also moved out and two hours away from home. So the times when we can all be in one house for even a weekend are the moments I most appreciate.

Not only will I be seeing my family this weekend, but also my best friends from home that I haven't hung out with since last summer! We all go to separate colleges and have different breaks a lot of the time, so it can be extremely hard to find times to hang out. Especially now that we all work in the summer. This weekend we have plans to go see the Minecraft movie together, which I'm super excited about. I almost wish this break would be a little longer so I had more time with them because I'll probably only be able to hang out with them for one day. However, I'm grateful for even one day with them.

Other than hanging with my friends and family this weekend, I am also going to try to finish reading my book. Maybe even two books, who knows? Right now I'm reading the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi and I'm only about 100 pages in. They're not super long books, so I'm optimistic that I'll get through at least two. However, I also need to make some time for homework, even though that's probably my last priority this weekend.

I know that I'll be home soon for the summer, but I'm somewhat of a homebody and love to be around my parents. Either way, I'm super excited to be home and to be able to sleep in my brand new queen sized bed! A bed my parents handed down to me after their bedroom renovations. I'll do my best to cherish this weekend with my friends and family. Happy Easter everyone!

  1. That's so exciting that you'll be able to spend time with your family. My brothers are both busy at their colleges, so unfortunately we can't see each other. I'm so ready for break and a chance to sleep in though. I hope you have an incredible time with your family, friends, and books!
